Year 3 jumping around!

More wet day PE!
Here we have Year 3 doing the most energetic jumping lesson!

You can see how much they are loving this (when they are in focus!)

 Jumping high and wide!

Everyone joining in the fun

 The Bloglady got quite dizzy!
 A brief rest! (Well earned)
Lessons in classrooms are so much easier to photograph, said a rueful Bloglady - 35 pictures and hardly any in focus. If only they would stand still!!!!!

Clay owls

Using this picture as an inspiration, Year 6 children were designing clay owls

....with some wonderful results

Lots of concentration
The different parts made it even more tricky

Careful feather designs
Making a wing

Another lovely design

Getting the owls to stand up was a problem to solve

...but the children managed it!
Great work, everyone. You kept focused for the whole afternoon. Well done indeed!

Aztec headbands

In Class 3B, children have been busy

...making headbands..

...in an Aztec style.
Bright, colourful,...
 ...and very wearable!

Some children were more pleased with the result than others!!!!
A lesson to smile about!

A lovely email message

Following Thursday's filming, here's an email from Jillian, who did the interviews. I have highlighted the bit I liked best!

Hi Lucy,

I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to you and everyone at the school for being so welcoming to us yesterday. We had such a great day in an amazing school. Ed and I were talking about it on the way home and said it was a joy to be in such a happy and caring environment. We are sure you are all very proud of Jesson's and you really should be, it's a very special place. I've just started looking at the rushes from yesterday and they look really good, now my only problem is going to be cutting it down to such a short film!

I'm going to pop a card in the post for the children today, but wanted to email you to say thank you. London seems just a bit dull and quiet today!

Have a good weekend,

Best wishes,

Jillian
