China meets Jesson's

Year 5 studied China as a topic

So what better way to finish it than to try a taste of China?

There was lots of different food on offer - some cooked by staff

 ... and all delicious

A great experience

...shared by children and staff alike

Fun with English lessons

In Year 2 the children are studying riddles. Miss Moulton was absent today (!!!!) and her place was taken by the Riddler - full of mystery and questions!

In Year 1 children made clown masks to help with their letters and sounds

The children behind the masks!

The Riddler adopts a cool pose, thinking the Bloglady and her camera have disappeared

Here are some pictures from our SOUPER-HEROES day!

Lots of the activities involved SOUP! Preparing it, making it, eating it - sharing it  with the School's Trustees who were meeting on that day.

Other activities included:
* making superhero biscuits,
* helping to save the Earth by planting summer flowering bulbs to take home and nurture (to add more colour in the world
* joining hero Jack (of beanstalk fame) in planting beans ready to vanquish Giants!

Children dressed as superheroes, to pose with Red Power Ranger, who helped them with their tasks

One of the wanted posters made during the day

One of the parents wrote "We had an absolutely fantastic time especially making the soup"

A crazy day!!!! Thankyou to Rainbow Woman (otherwise known as Mrs Rowlands) for organising it all.

The hot dogs looked delicious

The menu for this week

In the auditorium

In the dining room, young musicians entertained the crowds

This girl was from another school, but she was allowed to have her picture taken too

"Little Mix" on stage

I tried to get a close up
None of our acts won, but they all did very well indeed and we were proud of them all
