Bloglady Half Term Travels

The new bloglady and family went away for a couple of days at the weekend. We went to Lancaster and Morecambe, as you can see the weather was very kind to us !

The son of bloglady enjoyed clambering over the rocks.

We also visited Lancaster Castle, which until recently was a working Prison. The castle dates back over 1000 years. It is built on the site of three Roman forts.

Talent Show at Ellowes Hall Thursday 12th February 2015

Hannah won Best Musician.

Alice and Thea sang beautifully in harmony, keeping going even though they had sound issues (they were allowed to do it again).

Blessing was stunned to be placed second overall, following her powerful rendition of "The Greatest Love of All".

All the children did Jesson's proud. They were chosen from all the primary schools in the local area, and it was an achievement to be chosen for the finals.

Mrs Anslow coached the Boys' Dance and Mrs Roden and Mr Kimberley were there in support of the children. Mr Jackson accompanied Thea and Alice on  his guitar.

Year 1 working together 6th February 2015

Year 1Y enjoyed a working together session about the links between speaking, listening and reading.

To illustrate this Mrs Kamboo-Dass put a story on the screen and read it with the help of Mrs Bird and Mrs Rowlands. Lots of questions were asked about the story, and the answers were very carefully thought about and amusing.

Parents and pupils really enjoyed making aliens together.
