A fond farewell to Mrs Helen Hancock

After 29 year Helen Hancock retires from school lunchtimes. She will be greatly missed by all of the children and the staff at Jesson's.
Good luck and enjoy your retirement.

What was happening at school this half term?

Mrs George was testing out Cybercoach, ready to start a Fit for Christmas Club for staff and parents.

Mr Owen was looking great whilst he was painting the Headteacher's office.

Miss Moulton and Mrs George cleared out the Key Stage 1 P.E cupboard and found lots of great toys for the playground.

Mr Holmes sets himself to work in the ICT suite. He's busy working hard to make the computers work better for everyone.

The playground gets fixed.

And much more was happening, pictures to follow of Mrs Rowland's Family Fun Day with pumpkin soup and crafts. Hope you all had as much fun.

Year 5 Bosworth trip

Looks like lots of fun was had at Bosworth by the staff and children.

Working Together with Reception

A great Working Together last Friday with lots of parents coming to join in the activities. Great support for the children and staff.

KS1 Harvest Festival

Year 2 did a wonderful job of their Harvest assembly: there was lots of singing and dancing.

KS2 Harvest Service at Church.

As usual the wonderful musicians play for the children in Church.
The children start to bring their offerings to the front, which takes a while with every child giving for Harvest.

The thanks for harvest is given and the children sing hymns and say prayers for the wonderful food we have.

Mr Hayward looks very happy to be there.

The support staff are making sure that all of the children get their offer of food to the altar. Well done team.

Year 1 make and eat pumpkin soup

Tasty pumpkin soup that the children all had a hand in making.
Look at the concentration. It was obviously hard work.

Its great to see that cooking is such fun and these skills will go on throughout their lives. Watch out Gordon Ramsay.

The Animal Lady

The Animal Lady was back at school last week and was a great success. The children saw a Snake, a Chinchilla and a Meerkat.

The smell was a surprise for some children, but the children said that they learned a lot about the animals.

Even the staff get to hold the animals and love it. But the animals don't sit still for the camera.
