Parents Evening Thursday 26th March 2015

At Parents evening besides offering toast and drinks, (special thanks to Mrs Fowler and Miss Glover) we had a representative of Dudley Young carers group run by Spurgeons, our two school Health advisors, representatives of: Priory Community Pharmacy, Time for twos, Food Dudes, Girl Guides (who brought actual rainbows with them to meet our children) St James Church, Art Space and Adult and Community learning, Priory Park rangers, and Mrs Rowbottom also put up a display about learning a musical instrument in school.

Goodbye to Mrs Piggott

Friday was a very sad day for Jesson's, Mrs Piggott, who has been a lunchtime supervisor and cleaner, for over 20 years retired.
She will be much missed by all the pupils and staff, and we wish her all the best for her retirement.

Easter Service at School

Today the children in Year 1 led the Easter Service at school. All of the children spoke really clearly and their singing was beautiful.
The audience really enjoyed it and we learnt the real message of Easter.

Jubilate Performance

On Tuesday, the Year 2 children from St Mary's Kingswinford came to listen to the Jubilate choir. Our Year 3 and 5 children were also in the audience. The children performed really well and the children from St Mary's really enjoyed themselves.

Drama at Jesson's

On Monday 23rd March, the children in Year 5 were lucky enough to see a performance from drama students at Dudley College.
You can see by the faces of the pupils how interested they were.

Year 4 at the Symphony Hall

On Sunday 22nd March, a group of children in Year 4 who are learning to play the violin at school, had the opportunity to take part in a concert at Symphony Hall in Birmingham.

As you can see from the photos it is an amazing venue to play in a concert, and all the children played fantastically well.

Thank you to Miss Comrie, Mr Anfous, Mrs George and Mr Kimberley for going to the concert with the children and to Mrs Robottom and family for not just helping Jesson's children, but lots of schools in Dudley.

Solar Eclipse

Today at 9.30 am many of our children went outside to experience the solar eclipse. Children were all advised to not to directly look at the sun, but experienced the eclipse using different pin hole methods with card and mirrors.

It was breathtaking !
