Our Caretakers.

It doesn't take the fabulous caretakers at Jesson's long to build raised beds for the children to start growing their winter vegetables.

Food glorious food.

A really healthy choice for dinner of meatballs and pasta, with pineapple for dessert.

But if that wasn't enough, year 2 made biscuits with apples grown on our own trees, Yummy!

Year 4 cave art

In year 4 they have been trying to reproduce cave paintings. They turned off the lights and crawled under the table to draw.

Fantastic results year 4.

Year 2 Science

The children in year 2 are investigating.
They seem to be pulling plants apart.
The children are learning about the different parts of the plant and Mrs Rolands looks like the expert.
Looks like a great deal of fun and that's how the children learn so well.

Our theme this half term is courage

The children love a good story and really enjoy singing in whole school assemblies. They are brave lion cubs who will show courage this term to become brave lions.
There were 10 classes with 100% attendance this week, well done!

Our first visit to church this academic year.

The staff and children walked to St James The Great Church and watched year 6 do their welcome back to school service. The sun shone on  them all through the stained glass window, which depicts stories from the New Testament.

Gardening club

The children check what is left of their tomato plants before the last pic.

The picking begins.
A proud gardening team show us what they have picked and look very proud.

A secret garden?

The lovely new screening outside Key Stage 1 looks great.

Whilst on Key Stage 2 it looks even better as it creates a feeling of being in the country.

Music and light

Mr Hayward in the music room (101) which has lots of new desks,  and he looks as if he has interrupted a very young teacher at the front. They may be discussing what to put on the display at the back of the room.

Having a beautiful Reflection Garden, with sunlight streaming in, really makes Jesson's special.

Astley Burf here we come!

The staff from Jesson's prepare for the trip to Astley Burf. Is that Mrs Griffiths I spot checking out the cabins?

It looks like the staff are happy with the new accommodation as they are smiling.

Week one and having fun

Today the children had lots of fun at lunch time going on Dennis the bus. His slide was great and many of the new year 3 children hadn't been on before.

Lots of children enjoy the school dinners, including Bloglady; they are yummy.

The children are really enjoying their lessons. Room 101 is where this is taking place.

Welcome back

Although the original Blog lady has gone, it is my duty to maintain her legacy.
Here goes from Blog lady 2.

Staff were surprised on their first day back with a Fire alarm; it was fine, just the work men welding the new flooring.
They huddled on the Coop Deck to shelter from the rain.
As usual the children at Jesson's know how to line up perfectly even on their first day.

Look how smart they all are, ready for the first whole school assembly of this year.
Mrs George takes the assembly and asks the children to be courageous in their first half term, like lions.
