A very special day

Today was a very special day. Mrs Goode and her husband re-took their wedding day vows, after 33 years of marriage
That's Mr Welch's elbow - everyone was taking pictures!

The beautiful bride and her stunning dress

Chatting to guests - including Mrs Macklin.
Look at the confetti! Lots of places don't allow it these days.

Some of the guests.
I don't know the lady with the purple cardigan and black hat but she got on loads of my pictures!

A beautiful bridesmaid

Some staff from school catch up on what they've been doing during the holidays    - not long now, folks

Miss Loverock and Mrs Roden
(and the lady with the hat.)

A lovely day - our congratulations and very best wishes to the bride and groom.
Even the weather played its part - the predicted rain ws nowhere to be seen!

Jack and the giant

Key Stage 1's production was about fairy tales.
Here are two pictures of Jack and the Giant

Scary stuff!

Faces from Y 3/4 Sportsday and Jubilate at Wombourne

We love to get dressed up for Sports Days...

...especially the face painting

All raring to go!

Phew, that was exhausting

Jubilate were invited to play at the Wombourne Arts Festival. These two blurred pictures give you an idea. The church was aboslutely packed

Sports Day at the Dell - for Years 5 and 6

Waiting for the Sports Day to start - we never seem to have sunny weather.

We were helped by some Ellowes Hall sports students.

Boys from a variety of teams pose for the camera.

The white team mostly wear jumpers to keep warm on this cold day...

...but the yellow team seem to be warm enough
hope the face paints come off easily afterwards!

Earlier in the term...

Arriving at Drayton Manor Park, Year 6's post-SATs trip after their hard work (and excellent SATs results, as it later turned out)

It's great to spend a fun day with friends

Phew, that ride was scarier than we thought. But we made it!!!

Time for a refreshment break

This one's fun, honestly Mrs Anslow

I don't know how this works, sir. Can you help?

Time to be counted ready to go home

Must just try this out on Kuldeep's ear. He doesn't seem to mind

No-one is happy about leaving. Even the teachers wanted to stay longer

What else is happening?

The new ceiling in the hall

These lights should make it brighter

No more wall bars. The wall is now plastered - ready to be painted

And extensive roof works too. All the lead has been replaced, loose tiles refitted and new guttering and fascias. Hopefully, no more roof leaks!

Had to show you this. The Bloglady finishes the 630mile South West Coast Path on a very windy day, wearing her famous Astley Burf shorts. Back to work now....

During the holidays

It's the holidays, but the teachers are still in school, preparing for next year.

Below, Mrs Stone sorts out children's records for the new teacher

Mr Mitchell tries to imagine what his new room will be like when the chairs arrive (they're not here yet!)

Mrs Careless is her usual smiling self

Mrs Fellows is excited about her new room

Mr Seager sorts foorball kit. Will next year's team be as successful as this year's fantastic one?

Miss Loverock puts things on the display boards in her new room

And the children are in too. Mrs Sharma cooks with our Holiday Club
