Dance sessions with Year 2

dance teacher comes to Jesson's every Friday afternoon. She's been working with Year 2 this half term. Here the children from 2S show a dance they have been working on.

They begin by growing

 Working with a partner

The dance becomes fast and furious

Each group worked out different moves
The children have been really enjoying these sessions and were proud of their work.
You can see from their faces the enjoyment - and the concentration.
Nice to see their correct P.E. uniform too. Red, white or black.

More from Book Week

Each year group took a different genre of books.
Here we have comic/cartoon characters:

Spiderman,

 Dennis the Menace,

 an avatar,

and Snow White

... plus a selection of characters from thriller/horror

Scary stuff!

Coming soon - pictures from our holiday activities. Don't miss them!

Another Display

Year 6 have been working on 20th Century artists (Above and below)

Parents' Evening

There were lots of displays in the Large Hall at Parents' Evening.
These men are from Dudley Leisure's sports promotion and the Sickle Cell information service

There were samples of our yummy school dinners

It passes the time while you're waiting to see the class teachers
It's also Book Week, and many children were interested in our Book Stalls...

...though some preferred to pose for the camera!

The books were very absorbing!
Hey mum, could I have this one perhaps?

Wow, this one's amazing!

More from "the Animal Lady", and some good work

Gizmo the coatimundi wouldn't stay still to be photographed.

More admirers for Mathilda the iguana
We loved gently stroking the owl

Mathilda listens carefully to the lecture.
The Animal Lady says a big thankyou to the children at Jesson's and commends them all on their behaviour and their care for animals

Wow, what about this for some good work from a Year 1 pupil?

A sunny afternoon at Jesson's

Callum has some exciting news to tell his friend...
... some scouts from very famous football clubs are interested in him. Including Manchester United  "Wow Callum! Well done!!!!" says Awais

In the corridors the Teaching Assistants snatch some time to put up displays...

...such as this one on Black History.

That's because the children have all been listening to "The Animal Lady"

This is Mathilda..

..the iguana

After school Mrs Shackleton can't resist a cuddle!

And at five o'clock some of the Year 5 football team smile to celebrate a fine victory in the first round of the cup
