Of remembrance, and William Morris

We held a Remembrance Service today at 11 o'clock. The children stood for the full two minute silence.

The bloglady told the story behind this brooch which has been in the family since 1917
It's called a Mizpah brooch  - from Genesis 31:49 in the Bible:
"And Mizpah; for he said, The Lord watch between me and thee, when we are absent one from another."
