4F did the first class assembly of the year. All about FEAR!!!
They told us the story of Daniel in the lion's den - and reminded us that "you'll never walk alone".
The rain started and just kept going. Raindrops in the pond...
...and dripping from the garden plants.
Two little boys were disappointed to find it was going to be a wet dinner-time, especially as they'd put their coats on hopefully!

Lovely writing, and an orchestra sets up
What a lovely start to the day. A year 1 child came up for a headteacher's sticker. This was all her own work - no help from anyone. Excellent!!!!
Here are the Olympic Project Certificates - beautiful, aren't they? Everyone who did a project will get one...
.....But who will win the prizes? Find out tomorrow after Assembly!!!!
(or tomorrow night if you're a blog-reader)
After school I walked around the Small Hall while the children set up for orchestra
We have cellos....
...first and second violins...
...and brass instruments
Meanwhile, the tension mounts:Here are the Olympic Project Certificates - beautiful, aren't they? Everyone who did a project will get one...

Beginning and end of the day
A typical Wednesday:
Years 3 and 4 have their assembly at 9 o'clock...
...while in the small hall, parents and children join in our Games with a Purpose session.
(Their assembly comes later in the day)
This was very well attended
Later, the Year 6 children who are going on our residential trip listen to a pre-trip briefing
At the end of the day, this year's Vocalize Choir meet for their first practice
Some of the new children give a big smile for the camera...
.... and here are all the new children from Year 2 who successfully auditioned for the choir
There was also a Film Club - we hope to have some pictures next week.

And, news of the Olympic projects: - the certificates have arrived and the winnners will be announced in assembly on Friday!!!!

Year 3.
The children in Year 3 thought they'd like to be on the blog too. Here they are doing English
It's the usual story - some pause from their work to pose for the photos, and some are too busy writing to notice the bloglady
This group is using individual wipe-clean boards to practise writing sentences with good adjectives
Later, these will be used in a story.

Year 1. PE and computers
We haven't really seen any pictures of Year 1 yet this year, so here are some.
1B have been enjoying their PE in the playground

It made me want to join in!
The red white and black of our PE uniform looks very good. Thanks, parents, for ensuring your children look smart!
And here's another Year 1 class, in the computer room this time

Happy smily children
Class 2W have been doing portraits of themselves
And don't worry - we haven't forgotten about the Olympic projects - we just had more, and better, than we were expecting. So, more prizes needed - and better certificates, to reflect the amount of hard work which went into them.
Very happy and smily - a lovely display!

Friends of Jesson's
The Friends of Jesson's met today.
As you can see they're a friendly set of people
They were working out the best date for the Christmas Fayre. Difficult because we have so much going on. You'll find the date next week when the calendars for the year are sent out.
