5R's Assembly

Let Jusice take place as 5R's assembly was all about Justice.
We all shared the school prayer.
Then rocked the hall with Jail House rock.
Some beautiful prayers written and shared by the class.
Miss Nuttall goes it alone again this week as Mr Jackson and Mr Hayward are at Astley Burf.
The whole theme for the year is about Values for Life and this class really have them sorted.
 The Big Finish!
Partner class 1B gave us a great lesson on how we need to be fair to others. Well done everyone.

More Astley Burf

This was day 3 and it all looks very exciting.

R.E Focus week

Year 4's R.E Focus week theme was truthfulness. Year 4 thought about stories they were told when they were younger, that made them want to be more truthful. The most popular was The Boy Who Cried Wolf, so they made their own puppets and performed a puppet show of the story to their peers.

Astley Burf continues.

It was a quick unpack before the fun began. Those beds look comfortable.

Going off to investigate the surrounding area looks like fun. I hope the weather holds out for everyone.
Lots of happy faces.

Didn't think that rolling in the mud was part of the week.  Looks as if some parents may need to get the washing machines ready.
Is that Mrs Stone at the end of the bridge? She loves a bit of outdoor adventure and the children look like they are well prepared with their back packs.
Someone is really getting deep down in the undergrowth. Very David Bellamy.

Astley Burf here they come!

Year 6 are all ready to go on their residential to Astley Burf. The bags are packed and the coach is waiting.

Some girls look very keen to go away for a week and have their waterproof clothes ready.

Away they go. Have fun and we will miss you at school. Thank you to all the staff that have gone to support this exciting week.

Pumpkin fun in the Greenhouse

Wow? Look what the children found in the greenhouse. It's a giant pumpkin grown by Mrs George. The children were thinking all about Cinderella and how the pumpkin turned into a beautiful carriage. This one looks big enough to change into some delicious soup. Let's see what Mrs Rowlands can do.

4Y Assembly

Mr Anfous and 4Y present their first assembly. The beautiful sunset reminded me of the summer holidays.
It was really great to hear such clear, loud voices and don't they all look smart!
