SATs are over - the celebrations begin

SATs over, Year 6 did some synchronised swimming on the playground. (Yes, I know, but they were having fun!)
All the children worked enthusiastically as a team and enjoyed showing off their displays to the rest of the year group.

Only at Jesson's!!!!!!
Teachers are proud of their attitude and results after a successful SATs week
(I believe there are more pictures to come!)

Some people you may know

Lots of people work hard to keep our school running smoothly.

Here's Mrs Robottom doing the letters for music lessons.

Mrs Timmington sorting out an order for books for next year

Mrs Macklin takes a break from typing to make a drink for everyone in the office
(and one for the Bloglady, which was nice!)

Miss Dudfield gets ready to do her cleaning duty - she's already done her dinner supervisor job!

Every day we give thanks for people like these - they help to make our school the success it is!
Thankyou , all of you - and the ones who aren't on these pictures.

Be brave!

Only one more day of SATs for Year 6.

Some of them have been looking at this display by Year 1 children about scary things!

It was part of a Year 1 class assembly

Be brave, year 6. Nearly there now!

(We think the papers have been very fair this year - the children said the Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar* paper was good  - they felt they'd been well prepared)

Year 4 music lesson

Children in Year 4 learn either the violin or the cello

They really enjoy it.

Concentration is essential

They make a glorious sound!

The Bloglady would like to apologise for the quality of recent posts. The has been an "upgrade" to the blog program which inserts random spacings into posts which look perfectly fine when they are composed. (It also underlines things for no reason). I don't like to moan, because the program is free, but it is disappointing when the posts are not up to our usual quality.

SATs. Day 1

Today was the start of SATs tests for Year 6.

All the displays in the classrooms are covered up - in case they have things on which might help with answering the questions
A nervous queue outside Mr Seager's room - ready to start in 5 minutes!

Mrs Rowlands makes sure everyone has a drink

These children felt quietly confident

In the class now .... just ready to start.

We wish the children the very best of luck! The tests go on till Thursday.

Pebble Pool

Have you ever noticed our Pebble Pool? It's in the Entrance Hall, next to the portrait of Mr Jesson.

Children can use it for their worries.

And so can grown ups. Here's the prayer next to it.
