Reading is fun

It was Year 3's turn for a Working Together session
This one was about reading for older children
Miss Johnstone (above) and Miss Agrawal ran the session (She avoided the camera!)
Just a few minutes a day makes all the difference to a child
These parents are giving their children a really precious gift: time!
Check when your year group is next doing Working Together
Just look at the pictures - you can see how enjoyable it is!

A new room!

The radiator has been moved. The walls have been re-plastered.
The caretakers have painted it....

Now our "new" room is ready to take delivery of furniture!

Inside the room, the fitters measure up for the cupboards

A range of tools were needed

Sometimes it took two to hold the tape

New desks and chairs...

...and overhead cupboards

The room is for our Pastoral team. It will give parents somewhere private to go if they want to discuss confidential things.
In a way, we hope you never have to use it! But if you do, at least it will be comfortable!

Practising!

It will be the Foundation Department's production soon.

Here's a sneak preview of Mrs Price teaching a dance to her group in Nursery
Some children always find the camera fascinating!

A sunny lunch time, part 1

One sunny lunch-time last week, the Bloglady went for a walk round the playground with her camera.
Skipping was quite popular...

....so was running in the "Cage"

The tyres and pencils were part of the games

Note from Bloglady: the new upgraded blog seems to be acting randomly, inserting spaces, etc . Sorry, can't work out how to stop it at the moment!

Outdoor maths

Year 6 (Miss Garratt's group) had a maths lesson on the field.

Children answered mental maths questions with
speed, helped by a little competition.

It was amazing how keen the children were to get quick answers so they could race to win.
