A royal visit

Henry VIII visited Year 3 on Wednesday
(Bringing his own powerpoint display)

The children made ruffs,

 ...engaged in a jousting competition

...dressed in Tudor clothes 

and finished with a masked ball 

A great way to learn about a period of history

(Blog in royal purple in honour of the visit)

A final farewell

It was very quiet at school today.

Many children stayed at home all day: some went at 11 o'clock

A sunny afternoon, part 2

While the children play outside, the fountain in the quad sparkles in the afternoon sunshine.

The daffodils are finally out...

...and so is the flowering currant.

Spring has been a long time coming - but maybe it's here at last

It's a sunny playtime.
"Come on" says Mr Kimberley. "Come and try out the new climbing frame"
