There was a dramatic entrance to the song "we could be heroes", complete with huge flag, and of course, the torch
In the service, children sang their favourite hymns:

The children talked about being nervous coming back to a new school year, new class and so on. They found out that even the teachers feel like that - here's a pupil playing the role of teacher (below)
A lovely service, and a great start to the new year.
