The story was 'The Runaway Parotha' (similar to the Gingerbread Man').
First the children acted out the story
Then they had an opportunity to make their own parothas.
We had to keep a close eye on the parothas as we didn't want them to run away!!!
They tasted yummy, apparently! (Bloglady didn't get one!)
Cooking them one at a time
What is a parotha?
A paratha/parantha/parauntha is a flatbread that originated in the Indian Subcontinent. It is still quite prevalent throughout the area. Parantha is an amalgamation of the words parat and atta which literally means layers of cooked dough.
