Birmingham City: Lee Clark tells Colin Tattum he believes Reece Brown has a bright future ahead of him
The Blues manager gave the 17-year-old his debut as a substitute in the miserable defeat at Burnley.
And midfielder Brown earned Clark’s praise for his display.
Brown, from Dudley, remains on Scholarship terms at St Andrew’s. But that is surely going to change following his big breakthrough.
“The plus point of the night for me,” said Clark.
“Super little footballer, great technician, and for someone who is so slight he is still very strong when he has got possession of the ball.
“I was really pleased with what he did.
“And it’s tough as well when you go onto a pitch and a team aren’t playing particularly well and in a position where we’re not having a lot of joy.
“He’s the only player who has probably enhanced his reputation on the night." "

And this is from the 20th September
"Reece Brown’s journey from a position of uncertainty to a place in Blues first team is an inspiration to any young footballer.
It came as something of a surprise that Brown didn’t get a professional contract when Blues secured a clutch of Academy products on their first deals in the summer.
Instead of sulking, the midfielder returned in pre-season very determined to make his mark – and how he has done that.
Brown, 17, received his debut for Blues as a substitute at Burnley, having impressed Lee Clark since July.
“Reece came back from the break a much more mature football player,” said Richard Beale, Blues under-21/development coach.
“And he really impressed everybody, not just in training but in games.
“We all knew he was a good player, but it was a case of bringing that out in the way it has happened." "
Congratulations, Reece - we remember that determination very well from your time at Jesson's
