Just after 9a.m. and the car says it's 4 degrees Centigrade outside
The bandstand at Baggeridge provides some shelter from the misty (cold) rain.
The Jesson's Cross Country team meet up. Many of them (staff and children) were at the Town Hall till 10pm last night.
(there's always one person more interested in smiling for the camera!)
Below, discussing the route - in our lovely new kit (thankyou to Mr Oakes from the school outfitters for donating this)
The girls line up at the (muddy) start
Jesson's first girl back - she was asked to represent Dudley in the Black Country Cross Country event in a fortnight. Well done!!!!!!
The faces of fatigue!
The mud made it very tiring.
We weren't in the top three but never mind - it was a memorable experience.
And we brought back lots of mud as a souvenir -
on legs, clothes...
Thankyou to the staff who went - Mr Seager, Miss Garratt and Miss Johnstone (who was our official), and to all the parents who supported their children.
(And get well soon to poor Miss Robb, who's never missed a cross country before)

Three coffees later, the Bloglady is finally warm.
