5F's assembly - friends

5F told us about friendship in their assembly

They sang "I'll be there for you" the theme song for the TV show "Friends"

There was a scary bear who chased two friends

One climbed a tree

His friend begged him to help her, but he didn't: he was scared the bear might see him

Who needs a friend who won't help when you're in trouble?

A first for Nursery!

Two quick pictures of Nursery children celebrating getting their first full attendance! It is the first time Nursery has ever managed it. What a great start to the year!

Congratulations!
And thankyou to you too, mums, dads and carers - you played an important role!

Jam and Instructions

Year 5 are preparing for a session on writing instructions.

They are doing this by making jam sandwiches

And eating them.

A delicious lesson!
PS. Look carefully at the child leaning over the table in the last picture. It's not actually a child - it's Mrs Owen, new year 5 teacher!

Dennis has some work done

The Bloglady went to see Dennis today.
He has been completely stripped out inside.

This is the man who is working on getting the inside looking smart.

A few seats were piled up at one end, but the rest have been cleaned and are now in storage.

A completely empty upper deck

This is downstairs looking towards the door
It's hard to believe this is our lovely bus, but by November he will be ready for use (we hope)

A musical time

Whoops! The Bloglady forgot her camera today. Luckily Miss Hebron had these two snaps to send me.

Here is Mr Jackson this afternoon singing with the Reception children

All the classes had a go at singing.

Of gardens, and visitors and planets

Nursery garden club ran in the summer term.

Parents and children worked hard to plant up our raised beds

And here are the results. A stunning display of flowers

Those tomatoes look delicious

Meanwhile, Miss Robb paid a visit to Key Stage 1 in assembly. She is going to travel the world, and is taking Paddington, a little bear, round the world with her. She has promised to update us on his progress!!

In KS2, children have been learning about the earth and space. Here are 4G on the playground, learning about the solar system.

In the main school we  have a dancer in residence on Fridays.
Now we have something similar in Foundation

This is Reception Yellow having fun.
Passing on in time to the music...
...and concentrating hard on the instruments.
