Year 2Y Working Together

Miss Moulton talked to the parents about what children in Year 2 do in English lessons with an emphasis on understanding what they have read. The parents had to do a comprehension test. There were several activities including sorting out nouns, adjectives and verbs, reading a recipe and answering questions before following the instructions to make tasty toast with cream cheese and fruit or vegetables! Parents and children also made a collage to show a healthy meal on a plate.

The Fairy Godmother visits Jesson's

This morning each class in Reception received a special visit from The Fairy Godmother. This was the start of our Fairy Tales topic. The Fairy Godmother read the children the story of Cinderella and left the children with special stars to write their own wishes on! The children are very excited about what is to come.

Assembly time at Jesson's

This half term the theme for assemblies is creativity. As part of the Blog Lady assembly today I asked a couple of children to be artists and try and draw Mrs George and Mr Kimberley. The challenge came when one of the pupils was blindfolded, and had to draw Mr Kimberley without knowing who was on the stage. The drawings were fantastic and demonstrated how creative the children can be.

Easter Activities at Jesson's - Part 2

On Wednesday parents and pupils made and ate muffins, made fruit crumble to take home to cook and decorated plant pots using paint and serviettes. Mrs Rowland was very grateful for everyone's help with the washing up and clearing up at the end, and in particular Miss Anslow.

Easter Activities at Jesson's

Photos from the Craft Cafe on Tuesday 31st March - we made Easter hats and cards, prepared pitta pizzas to take home to cook and made Easter rabbits from socks filled with rice!

Easter Nests

Year 4 made chocolate Easter nests as part of their English work in the last week of the half term. This is 4B. All children followed their instructions carefully and worked really well as a team. The end results were great!
