Working Together - year 4

A very musical Working Together happened this week. The children in year 4 invited their parents in to take part in their violin lesson. It was a great success as you can see. Mrs Leader is having a great time.

Christmas is coming

Mrs George is getting a bit excited and has put her Christmas tree up already. Two willing children helped her.

Guide dog for the Blind

Today we gave our cheque to Guide Dogs for the Blind. We raised last year over £1,200. Autumn, the trainee guide dog, was happy to come with her friend Mr Reeves to collect the cheque.
The children were really happy to see her and the school council did us proud.
Well done to everyone who donated.

Isn't she a beauty?

Girls football team.

Well done to the girls' football team. They came second in the Dudley tournament on a cold, wet, and miserable evening.
A big thank you to Mr Seager and Mr Wilkinson Jones for their support and Mrs George for driving the mini bus.

6R class assembly

Year 6R did a wonderful assembly about superstition . The children sang and danced to entertain us all and their partner class from year 2 were very cool.

Lettuce tell you about greens

The children are brilliant at growing greens and Mrs Rowlands has picked the final outdoor lettuce and served it up for lunch.

The children and staff really enjoyed it and it created quite a stir.

100% attendance winner

Look what the winner chose from Toys"R"Us, when she went shopping with Mrs George and Mrs Sharma. It was fun to take a friend and have an ice cream on the way back to school.

Year Four basketball tournament.

It was an exciting morning: all children played excellently well and their sportsmanship was great. 4 girls and 4 boys from each class played each other. Boys and girls from the blue team won and red and yellow team drew overall.
Thank you to Mr Wilkinson-Jones for refereeing.

Year 2 Food technology

Year two start cooking and have used the apples from the school trees to make biscuits. Healthy biscuits - can't be bad.

Children in Need

Children in Need was fun; the children wore spots or superhero clothes and filled Pudsey Bear's tummy with money.

Poppies

There was a lovely Remembrance Service in school. The children did beautiful poppy pictures in Art Club.

Open Day Reminder

Football Champions

Two teams went to Hillcrest Football Tournament on Thursday after school, and both teams were successful. We came first and second.

'I have run these type of events for a few years now and I have never had such well behaved students, especially when it comes to football. They were polite and enthusiastic and I very much look forward to working with you again soon.' (Quote from the host)

Well done girls and boys: we are very proud, and thank you to Mr Seager and Mr Hayward for taking them. Also Mrs Farrell and Mr Shackleton for driving the mini bus.
Team work!

Year 2R Assembly

Mrs Fellows had a wonderful time singing and dancing with her class. The important message about safety was delivered well.

Lots of audience participation too.
