Thursday saw the annual visit of the school photographers.
Here are some shots from Nursery
First we wait on on benches ...
...until we're called.
One photographer takes the picture, while the other is editing earlier pictures
Am I doing alright? It's lonely here!

Pancake Day
On Shrove Tuesday, Breakfast Club celebrated in the traditional way ...
...with scrumptious pancakes
This blog seems full of food just lately - I'd like to assure viewers that we do work as well!!! Easier on a full stomach, in a happy mood - honest!

The craft cafe
We ran craft sessions during the holiday.
Mrs Rowlands reports on the activities:
"We made valentine's cards and little bags with roses (chocolate) in, decorated fans, made flowers, and used fabric and glass paint to decorate hairbands, bracelets, caps, dolls, and puppets! Oh, and decorated biscuits and stuck love hearts on them!"

First, apologies for the break in service. My computer is now fixed: I'll try and catch up with what you've missed - although this week is going to be rather busy. You'll see why later in these posts...
First, more from International Week. This is 2M eatiing the pizzas they made :
Mrs Rowlands was kept busy all week - most children did some cooking at some point and she was teaching it, co-ordinating the timetable and keeping track of all our cooking equipment! No small task in a school our size!

Even though yesterday's roof damage was bad (see post entitled "Devastation"), there were some good things happening in school uesterday. Here's a working party painting backdrops for the Year 3/4 production
Above, some of the spraying took place outside - and it was cold.
Inside, Mrs George is mending the stage curtains

Reception's Dragon dance
More from International Week:
After everything was made, the children did a Dragon Dance.
Following the instruments and waving flags...
the dragons dance their way into Nursery
Everything was brightly coloured
and it was a lot of fun
I like how the children's eyes were shining
Although some children were very serious!
Whoops, the head needs adjusting!
Children from Nursery applaud their bigger friends
And the dragons make their way home to Reception.
What a lovely finish to the week

Devastation
This was the scene that greeted us today
Someone has been on the roof looking for lead, ripping up tiles in the process
We have no lead on the roof - it was all replaced in the summer
There is around £10 000 of damage in total, money that we could have spent on our children.
Did you see anything? Let us know at school, or ring the police.
